<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a milk foaming device also suitable for heating milk. <P>SOLUTION: The milk foaming and heating device comprises a milk supply vessel 13, a steam generator 17 and a mixing element 1. This mixing element 1 includes a first steam inlet channel 3, a reduced diameter part 9 communicating with the first steam inlet channel 3 in the downstream area of the first steam inlet channel 3 and having an inside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the first steam inlet channel, an air inlet channel 4 communicating with the reduced diameter part 9 and a milk inlet channel 6. The mixing element 1 includes a main channel 2 which has an inlet end part communicating with the reduced diameter part 9 and communicates with the milk inlet channel 6 in the downstream area of the inlet end part and a second steam inlet channel 5 communicating with this main channel 2 between the reduced diameter part 9 and the opening part of the milk inlet channel 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
