HARMFUL HEAVY METAL SCAVENGER AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmful heavy metal scavenger which adsorbs and holds harmful heavy metals in the material including various kinds of heavy metal- containing material such as cement and concrete so as not to elute the same.

SOLUTION: This scavenger of harmful heavy metals comprises activated carbon having ion exchange capacity. For example, when the scavenger has cation exchange capacity, the scavenger adsorbs harmful heavy metal ions and stably retains the same by virtue of physical adsorption ability and reduction ability, etc., of cation exchange group and activated carbon.
