PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press machine which can compactly be constituted by eliminating a crankshaft, and as a result, can reduce manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The press machine M2 is constituted to have a frame 61, four guide posts 66 which are protruded upwardly from the frame 61 so as to mount a slide 65 and a connecting member 68 which connects the four guide posts 66 inside the frame 61. A linear motor 70, which is constituted to have a moving element mounted on the connecting member 68 side and provided with electromagnet, and a fixed element mounted on the frame 61 side and provided with a coil member respectively, is mounted on the opposing side face part of the connecting member 68. The slide 65 reciprocates vertically together with the four guide posts 66 toward a bolster 64 arranged on the upper face of the frame 61 by operation of the linear motor 70. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
