PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective technique to suppress the noise occurring when treatment water is transported through a transportation means in waste water treatment apparatus for receiving and treating waste water. SOLUTION: The waste water treatment vessel 100 is provided with a 1st air lift pump 170 for transporting the treating water to a carrier flow biofiltration vessel 140 from a 2nd anaerobic filter bed vessel 130. A discharge pipe 174 of the 1st air lift pump 170 has a vertical part 176 and a dipping part arranged at a part lower than the water level of the treating water in the carrier flow biofiltration vessel 140 is provided at the tip position of the vertical part 176. The discharge pipe 174 is usually dipped in the treating water in the carrier flow biofiltration vessel 140 to form a water sealed state. As a result, the noise occurring when the treating water in the 2nd anaerobic filter bed vessel 130 is discharged from the discharge pipe 174 is suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
