ULTRASONIC SEALING APPARATUS FOR MICROWELL ARRAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic sealing apparatus for sealing a liquid filled in a well without damaging the liquid and preventing the sealing of air and provided a sealing method by using the apparatus. SOLUTION: A plurality of separated wells are arranged on a plane in the form of an array on a tray. The tray is covered with a cover and sealed with an ultrasonic welding means to seal a liquid or specimen in the wells. The cover is laminated on the tray held on a table and ultrasonic vibration is applied by a horn through the cover in pressed state to weld the cover to the tray and seal the wells and obtain a sealed microwell array.
