PURPOSE: A system for downloading remote controller data using the Internet and a method thereof are provided to download and prepare necessary data to a remote controller by connecting to a server having remote controller data of each device through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A client PC requests to download controller data to a server unit through a first interface(S510). An authentication procedure of the server unit is executed(S520). The data transmitted from the server unit are received through the first interface(S530). The received data are stored in a temporary storage(S540). The stored data are analyzed through a data analysis unit, and it is judged whether the data are transmitted by wire or by wireless(S550). If the data are transmitted by wire, the data are transmitted to a terminal of a remote controller connected by a line of the second interface(S560). The remote controller receives data from the terminal(S570). The received data are converted through a data control unit(S580). The converted data are stored in a storage(S590).
