PURPOSE: A method for compensating temperature of a refrigerator is provided to control temperature in the refrigerator depending on operation factor of a compressor. CONSTITUTION: A method includes the steps of: a controlling step(100,200) supplying power source, and controlling driving of a compressor; a monitoring step(300) monitoring to see if off-time of the compressor exceeds fixed time during two continuous cycles in the controlling step; and an adjusting step(400,500,600) determining low temperature state in which indoor temperature is not appropriate as amount of chilled air supplied into a compartment is not sufficient if condition of the monitoring step is satisfied, and adjusting set indoor temperature to the low temperature state by increasing on-signal in compressor driving signal to increase operation factor of the compressor and to increase amount of chilled air supplied into the compartment so as to keep the indoor temperature appropriate. Increase of temperature in the refrigerator due to small operation factor of the compressor is prevented thereby when surrounding temperature is low.
