METHOD FOR REMOVING MIST OF SULFURIC ACID CONTAINED IN DRY GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of satisfactorily removing a mist of sulfuric acid contained in dry gas. SOLUTION: Dry gas (1) containing a mist of sulfuric acid is brought into contact with a base material (2) capable of forming a salt by reaction with sulfuric acid to form the salt and the formed sulfate is collected by a filter (3). The mist of sulfuric acid contained in the dry gas (1) can be removed. The pore size of the filter (3) is usually≤0.2 mm. The mist of sulfuric acid contained in the dry gas (1) is removed using an apparatus (4) for removing a mist of sulfuric acid provided with the base material (2) and the filter (3) and so constructed that the dry gas (1) is filtered by the filter (3) after contact with the base material (2).
