X-ray cassette (1) for a storage fluorescent screen (10) that is used for storing latent image information. The cassette has a seal (3) for opening and closing of the cassette and control means (20) for operation of the seal. The cassette has mounting elements (21, 22) for fixing the screen in position. The control means can be used to set three control steps corresponding to closed cassette, open cassette with the screen fixed and open cassette with screen released. <??>The invention also relates to a corresponding method for opening and closing the cassette. |
