MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF MAGNETISM REDUCED AUSTENITIC STAINLESS PLATE

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing magnetism reduced austenitic stainless plate is provided to effectively reduce contents of retained delta-ferrite. CONSTITUTION: In a conventional hot rolling method of austenitic stainless plate including 5 to 7 wt.% of delta ferrite, the method characteristically comprises holding an austenitic stainless slab at 1200 to 1250 deg.C for 200 to 250 min; hot rolling the slab preliminarily at a reduction ratio of 40 to 50 %; reheating the hot rolled austenitic stainless plate at 1150 to 1250°C for 30 to 60 min; and hot rolling the austenitic stainless plate after preliminary hot rolling to the thickness of greater than 10 mm.
