PURPOSE: A back light device is provided to minimize thermal expansion of a reflector by forming a heat interrupting part and bending both sides of the reflector, thereby preventing ripples in displaying an image on a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(36) converts light emitted from a lamp(50) into a surface light source. A reflector(54) includes a light guide plate facing part facing a rear surface of the light guide plate and a lamp facing part facing the lamp. A heat interrupting part(55) is mounted between the light guide plate facing part and the lamp facing part, and has a plurality of grooves formed with equal gap, so that the heat interrupting part interrupts heat transmitted from the lamp and proceeding to the reflector.
