PURPOSE: A piston for a vehicle engine is provided to reduce the compression height and weight of the piston by permitting the piston pin to be installed within the height overlapped with the piston land and ring groove. CONSTITUTION: A piston(100) comprises a piston head(110) forming a top surface of the piston; a plurality of piston lands(121) and ring grooves(122) formed along the upper circumferential surface of the piston; and a piston pin(150) for connection with a connecting rod(200), wherein the piston pin is arranged to be rotatable in a piston pin boss. The piston pin boss has pin grooves for insertion of both ends of the piston pin which is press fit into the connecting rod. Clamping members(132) are coupled to the lower surface of each piston pin boss in such a manner that the clamping members cover both ends of the piston pin inserted into the pin groove.
