PURPOSE: A brake system of a commercial vehicle is provided to increase braking force as the speed of the vehicle increases by increasing braking efficiency to a disk plate to the utmost. CONSTITUTION: A brake system of a commercial vehicle has an axle shaft(10) installed in a brake housing(20); disk plates(12) mounted to the axle shaft; separated plates(14) mounted to the brake housing to perform braking actions, with disposed between the disk plates; and a piston for braking(22) pressing the separated plates by oil. The brake system includes a rotary plate(30) installed between the piston for braking and the separated plate, to rotate integrally with the axle shaft; plural sliding pads(40) installed to the rotary plate to transmit pressing force of the piston for braking to the separated plate; and a coil spring(50). The sliding pads can move to the radial outside according to rotation of the rotary plate. The ends of the coil spring are each supported to the sliding pad and the rotary plate, to pull the sliding pad to the inside of the rotary plate.
