PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head unit capable of appropriately and effectively attaching or removing cables and tubes for a plurality of function liquid delivering heads, a method of setting the head unit and the plotting apparatus.

SOLUTION: The plotting apparatus is equipped with a wire-connecting assembly 53 and a pipe-connecting assembly 51. The wire-connecting assembly 53 comprises a plurality of wire connectors 113 which are loaded on a carriage 41 and which have a connected main cable 55 and a plurality of discrete cables 114 with one end being connected to the respective function-liquid delivering heads 7 and the other end being connected to the respective wire connectors 113. The pipe-connecting assembly 51 comprises a plurality of pipe joints 83 to which a main pipe 54 is connected and a plurality of discrete pipes 82 with one end being connected to the respective function-liquid delivering heads 7 and the other end being connected to the respective pipe joints 83.
