PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously achieve an equilibrium moisture content among respective boards to make plywood by setting up a veneer dried by a veneer drier for making a roll of veneer. SOLUTION: A superimposing conveyor for setting up the dried veneer to make two-ply; a take-up reel of a large diameter installed rotatably at a downstream position of the superimposing conveyor; a drive roll capable of being changed in speed for transmitting the drive by being positioned on a lower surface of the take-up reel; and a mechanism for transferring a plurality of thread members installed at optional intervals in a longitudinal direction of the take-up reel are provided. After making a front sheet and a rear sheet two-play by making the fiber directions the same one with the superimposing conveyor, the product is conveyed to the drive roll via the superimposing conveyor, and the drive roll is controlled to almost the same speed as a speed of the superimposing conveyor. A plurality of lines of thread member over a longitudinal direction of the take-up reel of a large diameter are reeled as a guide to the set-up roll of veneer. That is stored in a roll stock area of a reeling deck for several hours to obtain an equilibrium moisture content at a set-up roll unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
