PURPOSE: A method for separately detecting eccentricity of upper and lower rolls in rolling mill based on nonlinear type curve-fitting method after converting rolling force signals detected at certain time intervals into load signals for certain angles using speed compensation method is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step (S801,S802,S803) of calculating an overall rotational angle after collecting rolling data and setup data and converting rolling speed into angular speed; a step (S804) of calculating time for a certain angle by performing interpolation using angle signal graph for each sampling time; a step (S805) of calculating load value at the time by performing interpolation using load signal graph for the calculated time; a step (S806) of performing band pass filtering procedure to separate eccentricity frequency components only included in the rolling force value; a step (S807,S808) of calculating separated rolling force components having fundamental wave frequency and double wave and remaining harmonic components by applying nonlinear curve-fitting algorithm after receiving result values in which the band pass filtering procedure is performed; and a step (S809,S810) of detecting eccentricity of the upper and lower rolls in the rolling mill by comparing rolling force signals obtained using the above steps with actual rolling force signals.
