PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for compensating an error of AQM are provided to remove an operation error due to the error of AQM by extracting feedback digital data according to a digital method. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for correcting an error of AQM includes an error compensation portion(100), the first and the second digital/analog converters(2,3), a modulation portion(10), an amplifier(HPA), a down-converter(300), an analog/digital converter(203), and a control portion(204). The error compensation portion receives and compensates I/Q digital signals from a predistorter(1). The first and the second digital/analog converters are used for converting the I/Q digital signals to I/Q analog signals. The modulation portion modulates the I/Q analog signals to carrier frequencies. The amplifier is used for amplifying the output of the modulation portion. The down converter is used for converting an output signal of the amplifier. The analog/digital converter is used for converting an output signal of the down converter to a digital signal. The control portion extracts an error correction value by using a reference I/Q digital signal and applies an error correction signal to the error compensation portion.
