PURPOSE: A heat radiation structure of a traveling-wave tube for traveling-wave amplifier is provided to improve the cooling efficiency of the traveling-wave tube by radiating the heat from a heat pipe as well as a heat radiation plate. CONSTITUTION: A traveling-wave amplifier includes a main body, a plurality of heat radiation fins(21), a heat radiation plate(23), and a traveling-wave tube(30). The heat radiation fins are installed at the inside of the main body. The heat radiation plate is connected to the heat radiation fins. The traveling-wave tube is installed at the heat radiation plate. A heat pipe(41) is installed at the heat radiation plate in order to circulate refrigerants. The traveling-wave tube is in contact with the heat radiation plate and the heat pipe. A loading path is formed on the heat radiation plate to load the heat pipe. An injection valve(43), an exhaust valve(45), and a radiator(47) are installed at the heat pipe. A fan(50) is installed at the traveling-wave tube.
