PURPOSE: Grate bars for improving air permeability inside sintering machine are provided to secure air permeability and improve sintering productivity accordingly by preventing molten ore generated during sintering operation from fusing onto the upper side of the grate bars. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for improving permeability of air circulated as supporting hearth layer ore with being mounted on sinter pallet car in an iron works, the grate bars(10) for improving air permeability inside sintering machine comprises a plurality of supports(12) mounted on the sinter pallet car; a fusion prevention member(11) mounted on the upper side of each of the supports(12) to prevent fusion of molten iron by reducing adhesion surface with molten iron; and slits formed between the supports(12) to improve air permeability by minimizing contact surface with molten ore put on the fusion prevention member(11), wherein each of the support(12) is formed in a π-shape, and a connection block(13) formed correspondingly to an inserting hole formed inside the sintering car is formed at both sides of the lower part of the supports(12), wherein an upper contact surface of the fusion prevention member(11) is formed in a wave pattern shape having a plurality of wave peaks(17) and wave valleys(18) to minimize contact surface with hearth layer ore or fused ore put on the upper part of the fusion prevention member(11), wherein the wave peaks(18) of the fusion prevention member(11) are rounding treated to prevent abrasion due to contact with ores contacted with the wave peaks(18), and wherein a gap between the wave peaks(18) of the fusion prevention member(11) is approximately 20 to 25 mm that is smaller than size of the ores put on the wave peaks(18) of the fusion prevention member(11).
