PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a porous vitrified grinding stone, by which the porous vitrified grinding stone high in grinding efficiency can be manufactured. SOLUTION: The porous vitrified grinding stone is manufactured using abrasive grains, vitrified bond, forming binder, and a pore forming agent which has a shape of a solid particle and has sublimation start temperature not lower than 100°C. The pore forming agent is a material difficult to deform against application of pressure, at the same level as or higher than dimethyl terephthalate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
