PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin model which can accurately reproduce a profile of an object and to provide a method for forming the same. SOLUTION: The method for forming the resin model comprises a step of shell-forming a thick part of the object (shell forming sites 20, 22) in the case of shell forming the resin model by a rapid prototyping forming machine. Thus, the thickness of the overall resin model is made uniform. In this manner, the partial storage of received light and heat is prevented in a step of laminating sliced matters to suppress the deformation of the resin model. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
