PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent deposition and buildup of scale by treatment with an electric field applying device independently of the water quality of a water system to be treated. SOLUTION: An anti-scaling method is provided in which water treated by applying an electric field with an electric field applying device 10 in a system different from a water system to be treated is added to the water system 1 to be treated.
