PURPOSE: An air knife apparatus is provided which always constantly maintains a gap of air knives having a relatively long length within the control range of indicated value using an automated apparatus during galvanizing operation. CONSTITUTION: The air knife apparatus includes a sensor transfer frame(17) in which a vertical support(11) is erected at one side of the upper part of a horizontal support(10), and a supporting rail(12) is mounted on the upper part of the support(11) so that the sensor transfer frame(17) is moved on the supporting rail(12) side to side to move measuring instrument of air knives(5) side to side; a knife transfer fixing member(15) in which sensor transfer frame transfer bar and transfer cylinder are mounted on the sensor transfer frame(17), and transfer screw mounted transfer motors are installed at the lower part of the sensor transfer frame transfer bar and transfer cylinder; a fixing member(13) installed to clamp fixing bolt to the air knives(5); a wrench block(93) which is mounted on wrench transfer screw(92) and wrench transfer rail(95) at one side of the fixing member(13) so that air motor(96) and pressure gauge(99) are transferably mounted on guide rail(14) of the horizontal support(10); a sensor supporting bar(50) in which measuring sensor and measuring sensor bar are connected to the inside of a vertical measuring support bar(60) through connection pin, and adjusting bar mounted measuring bar adjusting unit is mounted on the lower side of the measuring sensor so that the sensor supporting bar(50) constructed by set value and actually measured values is mounted on the sensor transfer frame(17); and a measuring sensor in which wire is mounted on the inner side of the vertical measuring support bar(60) to accurately measure gap between the air knives so that the measuring sensor is fixed to the measuring sensor bar by connection plate.
