PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing sheet with which a front and back surfaces of the polishing sheet, and/or an item number or the like are easily and surely identified even in a state of the sheet being in use to eliminate a possibility of the sheet being used with the reversed front and back surfaces. SOLUTION: In the polishing sheet having a polishing layer which becomes a necessary area in polishing and is formed in an arbitrarily patterned shape in one surface of a substrate film, an identification is provided in a non-used area of the polishing layer at least on one of the front and back surfaces of the substrate film. Further, the polishing layer and the identification are formed with a screen printing method, and they are flush with each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
