METHOD FOR WELDING, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVING COATING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a coating material such as an oxide slag or the like without almost melting a base material of an object to be welded. SOLUTION: The method for welding comprises the welding step of coating a flux on the base material 10 as the object to be welded and welding the base material 10 to the object and the pulse arc generating step of applying a pulse-like arc to the coating material 30 such as the oxide slag or the like formed by solidifying the flux after the welding step and removing the oxide slag. Thus, the coating material 30 such as the oxide slag or the like can be removed without almost melting the material 10 of the object by operating the pulse-like arc to the material 30 under predetermined conditions. Since the material 30 is removed in the pulse arc generating stem in the welding method, a fusion bonding fault hardly occurs at a groove even when the object is thereafter further welded.
