The present invention relates to the use of complexes of hydroxypropyl- beta -cyclodextrin with 6-Ä1-piperidinylÜpyrimidine-2,4-diamine-3-oxide, Ä+/-Ü-N-cyano-N-4-pyridinyl-N-Ä1,2,2-trimethylpropylÜ-guanidine, and N-Ä5-sulfamoyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylÜacetamide in the treatment of disorders characterized by muscular weakness and muscular fatigue. These substances in noncomplexed form exhibit, in chronic therapies, undesirable effects such as hypotension and tachycardia, which limit their use in muscular disorders. The complexes according to the invention, particularly the ones with 6-Ä1-piperidinylÜpyrimidine-2,4-diamine-3-oxide, are an important improvement from the pharmacological standpoint with respect to noncomplexed substances in terms of doses at which they increase maximum effort duration, reduce recovery times after muscular effort, restore blood K<+> values after physical exercise, improving muscular performance, and exhibit no significant hypotensive effects or significant increases in heart rate.
