MICROORGANISM STREPTOMYCES SP. AMLK-335 PRODUCING CYCLO(PROLINE-PHENYLALANINE) AND CYCLO(LEUCINE-PROLINE) AND THE USE OF COMPOUNDS PRODUCED THEREFROM

PURPOSE: A microorganism Streptomyces sp. AMLK-335 producing cyclo(proline-phenylalanine) and cyclo(leucine-proline) and the use of compounds produced therefrom are provided, which compounds have strong anticancer activity. CONSTITUTION: A microorganism Streptomyces sp. AMLK-335(KCTC 10300BP) isolated from the soil produces cyclo(proline-phenylalanine) and cyclo(leucine-proline) having anti-VRE(vancomycin-resistance enterococci) activity and anti-cancer activity, wherein the cyclo(proline-phenylalanine) is represented by the formula(I); and the cyclo(leucine-proline) is represented by the formula(II). An antimicrobial and anticanceric composition independently contains the cyclo(proline-phenylalanine) or cyclo(leucine-proline).
