PURPOSE: A discharge valve assembly is provided to reduce noise due to collision occurring on opening and closing of a discharge valve. CONSTITUTION: A discharge valve(20) comprises a supporting part(21) formed with fixed thickness and width, and having one end thereof fixed on a cylinder or a valve plate; an opening and closing part(22) formed integrally on the other end of the supporting part to open and close a discharge port of the cylinder or the valve plate; and a mass part(23) extended with fixed thickness and width on a side opposite to the supporting part centering on the opening and closing part. The discharge valve is opened as the mass part is bent downward while the supporting part and the opening and closing part are bent upward. The discharge valve is closed as an end of the mass part contacts with an upper side of the valve plate before the opening and closing part(22), and the opening and closing part slides to be closed thereafter so as to reduce knocking sound of the discharge valve. Inertia is increased as much as increased mass to delay closing duration of the discharge valve.
