PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage drying treatment method and drying-type garbage disposer for carrying out drying treatment inexpensively by improving drying efficiency without using any additive which separates an oil component and for obtaining dry-treated matter having no contaminating component unsuitable for fertilizer. SOLUTION: In the present garbage disposal method, garbage is dried by mixing and agitation while supplying warm air to the garbage charged into the treatment vessel of the drying-type garbage disposer. By using a temperature detecting means installed in the inside of the treatment vessel, the garbage including oily components is mixed and agitated while heating the garbage and adjusting atmosphere temperature inside the treatment vessel in such a state that the temperature does not become excessively high, thereby conducting drying treatment of the garbage without separation of the oily component.
