PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact tool excellent in durability by easing velocity of which the hammer is made to impact on a stopper. SOLUTION: The configuration of a cam in a mechanism portion where an impact is generated in the impact tool is made at least two steps and a curve R is provided in a portion where angles in cam grooves 14a, 15a are changed. By forming the configuration like this, since the vertical movement distance or the central track movement distance of a ball 16 can be enlarged, and a burden can be alleviated to the stopper 22 in an impact mechanism portion up to the final end of a moving cam, or the final end of the cam grooves, the durability to each component in a reduction mechanism portion or the like can be improved.
