<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an surgical microscope capable of being simply and rapidly subjected to equilibration and especially avoiding the defect of an existing device like the attachment of an additional weight or the joining with an arm or the like only on the side of one of the opposed parts (side surfaces) of the microscope. <P>SOLUTION: In the surgical microscope having a stand and the optical device support movably joined to the stand and movably supported on a revolving arm with respect to the stand and constituted so that the optical device support is supported in the region of its center of gravity so as to be revolvable around at least one of rotary shafts with respect to the revolving arm, the rotary shafts (17a and 17b) are imaginarily constituted so as to pass the center (curvature) of partially arch-shaped guide elements (10a, 10b and 10c) and the partially arch-shaped guide elements (10a, 10b and 10c) are joined to the optical device supports (7a and 7b) so as to be positionally regulable with respect to at least one spatial axis to cooperate with guide devices (11a and 11b). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
