STERILIZATION DEVICE OF BALLAST WATER FOR SHIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization device of ballast water for ship which performs the sterilization of ballast water appropriately and inexpensively by utilizing exhaust gas of high temperature exhausted from a main engine of ship and satisfactorily contributes to the maintenance of environment accompanied by the pumping and drainage of the ballast water at harbors. SOLUTION: The ballast water from a ballast pump 18 is heated at a second heat exchanger 20b and supplied to respective ballast tanks 11, 12 by using primary cooling water which is heated on a first heat exchanger 20a by the exhaust gas from a gas turbine 13 as the main engine. The temperature of the ballast water is kept at a temperature≥40°C for 8 min (or≥45°C for 3 min) by the second heat exchanger 20b and the control is performed by a water temperature controlling system 21 and a water temperature sensor 22.
