PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swimming aid by which a swimming speed is easily improved by obtaining large thrust. SOLUTION: The acid consists of a long-length and hollow base 2 which is covered and not bottomed, a receiver 6 provided inside of the base 2 and sliding along the longitudinal direction of the base 2, and a matter formed like an umbrella 10 fitted to the receiver 6 via a hinge part 7 in an openable and closable manner. The receiver 6 is slid to take out the matter 10 from the base 2, which is mounted to the leg. When bending and stretching the leg under water, the matter 10 is opened and closed to obtain a large thrust. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
