PURPOSE: A structure for supporting a motor of an outdoor unit of a split type air conditioner is provided to securely support the motor and to reduce vibration. CONSTITUTION: A motor(64) is supported by a motor mount(70) vertically placed on an upper side of a base(50), and coupled to the motor mount by bolts(65). The motor mount comprises a front mount part(72) supporting a front part of the motor, and having a hole(72a) formed thereon for a shaft(64a) of the motor to penetrate; and a rear mount part(76) separated from the front mount part by length of the motor to support a rear part of the motor. The front mount part has a fixing end(73) with a fixing hole(73a) formed on a lower end thereof to be bent and coupled to the upper side of the base by a bolt(73b), and a first flange part(74) protrusively formed on a rear side of the hole for the front part of the motor to be mounted and supported thereon. The rear mount part has a fixing end(77) with a fixing hole(77a) formed on a lower end thereof to be bent and coupled to the upper side of the base by a bolt(77b) so as to be placed on a rear side of the front mount part, and a second flange part formed protrusively toward the first flange part for the rear part of the motor to be mounted and supported thereon. An upper mount part(80) is integrally formed on upper ends of the front mount part and the rear mount part to be formed in upside-down U-shape.
