PURPOSE: A balance weight of a compressor and a manufacturing method of the same are provided to reduce material cost. CONSTITUTION: A balance weight comprises circular balance weight steel sheets(131) with same radiuses and outer diameters and inner diameters with difference centers. The balance weight steel sheets are laminated on one side of a rotor of a compressor, and fixed to the rotor by bolts(132) penetrating fixing holes(131a) of the balance weight steel sheets. A manufacturing method comprises a first step manufacturing raw material of the balance weight steel sheets with fixed width and length; a second step arranging the balance weight steel sheets on the raw material so that the outer diameter of one of the balance weight steel sheet contacts with the inner diameter of another of the balance weight steel sheet to process the balance weight steel sheet by pressing; and a third step mounting the processed balance weight steel sheet on the one side of the rotor of the compressor and fixing to keep balance during rotation. Material cost is reduced thereby as amount of scrap is reduced.
