PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to prevent leakage of microwave by reliably preventing pins from being inserted into the gap formed between the door and the front surface of the microwave oven. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven comprises a main body having a heating chamber(20) for heating foodstuffs; and a door(16) connected to the main body through a hinge shaft, and which opens/shuts the heating chamber. The heating chamber has a front surface(10) with a protrusion, and a bottom surface(14) of the main body of the microwave oven between the protrusion and the hinge shaft is extended to the underneath of the door. The door has a bottom surface(17) which is extended to the underneath of the bottom surface of the main body of the microwave oven.
