PURPOSE: A method for measuring an Internet service quality and an apparatus therefor are provided to measure the performance of an Internet network equipment according to an Internet connection type of a user and simultaneously measure the performance the Internet with respect to the situations of the user and a network operator. CONSTITUTION: A measurement block(300) has an Internet connection card including a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) modem card(302), an ISDN(Integrated Services Digital Network) modem card(304), a LAN(Local Area Network) or ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) embedding card(305), and an analog measurement card(303). The measurement block(300) has a CPU(301) for storing a measurement schedule and measuring an Internet service quality in the situation of a user according to the measurement schedule when connecting to the Internet through the Internet connection card. An upper block(200) has an Internet connection card including a PSTN modem card(202), an ISDN modem card(203), and a LAN or ADSL embedding card(204). The upper block(200) has a CPU(201) for storing a measurement schedule about a network equipment, and storing information about the network equipment, which is associated with an Internet connection type of the measurement block(300). The CPU(201) collects measurement values from the network equipment corresponding to the Internet connection type of the measurement block(300) through an OID(Object ID), and measures the performance of the network equipment.
