PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirring tool for polishing rice, at a low cost, requiring no place for exclusively placing a weighing part and capable of easily throwing a desired amount of rice into a separation cage. SOLUTION: The stirring tool 41 for polishing rice is disposed in the separation cage 31 having a large number of separation holes for separating a rice bran from the rice and is rotated and used. A plurality of stepped parts 46-49 are vertically aligned on an outer surface of a stirring tool body 42 disposed at a central part of the separation cage 31 and vertically extending. A desired amount of rice can be thrown into the separation cage 31 while making height positions of upper surfaces of these stepped parts as a standard of an amount of the rice thrown into the separation cage 31.
