SURFACE BREAKAGE-SENSING DEVICE OF BELT CONVEYOR

PURPOSE: A device for sensing breakage of the surface of a belt conveyor is provided to reduce equipment accidents by sensing breakage of the surface of the belt conveyor. CONSTITUTION: A device for sensing breakage of the surface of a belt conveyor(1) includes a body(11) installed to the upper part of the belt conveyor; laser sensors(12) fixed from the lower part of a middle channel of the body along the longitudinal direction of the channel; a guide roller part(14) fixed with interposing the belt conveyor at lower ends of the body; sheaves(16) oppositely installed on the top of the side channels of the body; a position sensor(13) fixed on a side of the lower part of the middle channel of the body; a speed sensor(17) installed to the inner surface of the belt conveyor; plural targets rivet-combined to the belt conveyor in front of the position sensor; and a controller receiving signals of each sensor and displaying the signals through a monitor. The sheaves move along rails. Breakage of the surface of the belt conveyor is sensed through the laser sensor.
