<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning system with only one stage of a coarse dust filter compared to an air conditioning system with two stages having a coarse dust filter in the first stage and a main filter of middle to high performance in the second stage. <P>SOLUTION: A filter medium is prepared by adhering an aluminum expanded metal to the back face of a coarse dust filter cloth having≥80% trapping efficiency by the weight method for reinforcement, folding into a bellows form with≤25 mm pitch to increase the filter area and to increase the life. Two of the filter media are overlapped leaving a space equal to the thickness of the aluminum between the media and housed in one frame to constitute the filter. The speed of air passing the filter varies between the cloth sheets and this increases the trapping efficiency of dust to≥93% by the weight method. Thus, the filter having one stage only with the inexpensive coarse dust filter can act as a middle to high performance filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
