PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the air tightness of waste treatment equipment by preventing the deterioration of a packing material for maintaining the air tightness of the treatment vessel. SOLUTION: A waste treatment apparatus 1 is provided with a frame body 10 of an apparatus main body, a treatment vessel 3 which treats waste, a charging port 2 for charging waste into the treatment vessel 3, a charging lid 4 which covers the charging port 2, and a packing material 6 disposed between the rim of the charging port 2 and the charging lid 4 and maintaining the air tightness of the treatment vessel 3. A stopper 5 maintains a prescribed interval between the rim and the charging lid 4 of the charging port 2 when the charging lid 4 is brought to the closing position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
