PURPOSE: An epoxy-based resin coating solution for treating the surface of steel plate for an automobile and a method for treating the surface of steel plate using the solution are provided, to improve the corrosion resistance of the part where steel plates are layered and a phosphate coating or an electroplated coating is hardly formed, even in the case of a thin coating. CONSTITUTION: The epoxy-based resin coating solution comprises 5-30 wt% of the zinc powder coated with chromate which has a metal chromium adsorption amount of 1-200 mg/m2. The method comprises the step of coating the epoxy-based resin coating solution on a chromate-treated zinc-based material electroplated steel plate by a thickness of dry film of 2-6 micrometers. |
