PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for outputting a frame synchronous signal of a multiple system are provided to prevent the data loss at a timing where an active state is transit by using a frame synchronous load signal to output the frame synchronous signal. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of clock generation and selection units(41-1 - 44-1) generate frame synchronous load signals at a 2047-th clock of a clock pulse(CP2) and then generate reference frame synchronous signals(RFP2-1 - 4) at a 2048-th of the clock pulse(CP2). The clock generation and selection units(41-1 - 44-1) select the clock pulse(CP2) and a frame synchronous signal(FP2) to be outputted to a time switch board after generating identical reference clock pulses(RCP2-1¯4) and reference frame synchronous signals(RFP2-1 - 4). Where the clock generation and selection units(41-1 - 44-1) select the clock pulse(CP2) and a frame synchronous signal(FP2) to be outputted to a time switch board, duplex link boards(41-44) have to select identical clock pulse(CP2) and frame synchronous signal(FP2).
