PURPOSE: A method for enhancing performance of a signal message processor in a No.7 signaling network is provided to quickly search a signal routing table and minimize a delay generated in processing a signal message according to its kind. CONSTITUTION: When a signal message processor receives a message desired to be transmitted in a service sub-system(S61), the system extracts information on an originating signaling point and a destination signaling point of the message(S62). The system directly accesses a position of the signaling point of a signaling point index table by using a local station signaling point and the destination signaling point of the message to extract information of a signal routing table(S63). The system immediately accesses a position of corresponding routing information of the signal routing table by using a routing table index recorded in the signaling point index table(S64). The system distributes the message according to the signal routing table information or transfers it to a remote station(S65).
