摘要 PURPOSE: A method for designing load applied to work rolls to the maximum correspondingly to the maximum compensation reaction force capable of being applied to the strip in roller leveling machine during hot leveling operation performed for leveling shape of rolled strip after finish rolling is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of obtaining eccentricity angle between the work rolls and back up rolls by obtaining central distance between work rolls and back up rolls, and obtaining leveling force (Qunit) applied to the work rolls by one back up roll by obtaining leveling force applied per unit length of the back up rolls; a step of obtaining eccentricity angle (&thgr;') between the work rolls and back up rolls considering flattening length between the work rolls and back up rolls; and a step of designing the maximum load (Pcontact) for work rolls by applying the leveling force (Qunit) and eccentricity angle (&thgr;') to the following expression:£Expression|Pcontact=2xQunitxcos&thgr;'.
