PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which facilitates the mounting of a leak valve. SOLUTION: The leak valve 81 is fitted into a leak valve mounting recessed part of a leak valve holding cylinder part 79 which is formed integrally in an inducer 75 for holding the airtightness on the suction side of an electric blower 13 within the body 12 of the vacuum cleaner. The leak valve 81 starts leaking with a drop in the air pressure on the suction side of the electric blower 13 to protect the electric blower 13. Even when clogging occurs at any parts on the suction side from the inducer 75, the leak valve 81 starts leaking without fail to prevent the drop in the air pressure on the suction side of the electric blower 13. The leak valve 81 is mounted on the suction side of the electric blower 13 of the inducer 75 having the leak valve mounting cylinder part 19 formed integrally thereon to allow it communicate with the suction side of the electric blower 13.
