PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of a hand dryer. SOLUTION: The hand dryer has an air intake port 8 sucking air into the body 1, a blower 3 stored in the body 1, taking in air sucked from the air intake port 8 and generating high pressure airflow, nozzles 4a and 4b jetting high pressure airflow generated by the blower 3 out of the body 1, an air intake duct 11 connecting the air intake port 8 and the blower 3, an exhaust duct connecting the blower 3 and the nozzles 4a and 4b, and silencing members 21a to 21g provided in the body 1. The silencing members 21a to 21g are boxes, each having the front in which a plurality of openings is formed and the rear facing the front through an air layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
