PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for joining natural casings, capable of completing a pretreatment for automatically joining ends of both casings C1, C2 in a state that the ends are mutually overlapped outside and inside, by using blanks 7, 8 which are given by attaching the casings C1, C2, to first and second holding tubes 9, 10, respectively. SOLUTION: This apparatus for joining the natural casings has a blank holder 3, a charging mechanism 4, and a chucking mechanism 5, wherein the blank holder 3 holds the first and second holding tubes 9, 10 on its surface in a state that the tubes are adjacent to each other, the charging mechanism 4 charges a support rod 14 of the blank holder 3 with each of the blanks 7, 8, and the chucking mechanism 5 chucks the ends of the casings and holds the ends. An elastmeric film 15 used for expanding and pressingly attaching overlapped parts of both the casings C1, C2 to each other in succeeding processes is disposed on the surface of the support rod 14 of the blank holder 3. The charging mechanism 4 and chucking mechanism 5 cooperatively operate so that the casing C2 pulled out from one 8 of the blanks is made to cover the surface of the elasmeric film 15, then the casing C1 pulled out from the other blank 7 is made to cover the surface of the casing C2, and therefore the ends of the casings are mutually overlapped outside and inside.
