<p>The valve includes a plug seating ring (26) fixed preferably into a vessel standpipe. Novel, it includes a sealing ring (32) between standpipe inner surface (24) and the seat (26), preferably a lip seal. Pref. the seat ring has cylindrical- (28) and flanged sections (30). Its flange is clamped axially between the standpipe- (12) and valve housing- (2) flanges (16, 18). The seal (50) is located in a recess (56) of suitable shape within the seat itself, pref. integrated into its outer cylindrical surface. The seat is especially PFA or PTFE. The double-lipped seal has one lip projecting beyond the seat front surface. The seat flange is clamped between additional clamping washers. The internal end-chamfer at the front of the seat, is at approximately 30 degrees to the inner wall.</p> |
