The method for power increase control in a motor vehicle (V) fuel cell (1) involves adjustment of each battery (3a-c) which is disconnected in a temperature range for optimum functioning of the fuel battery. The battery is then connected to the drive motor circuit. This stage is repeated for all of the battery cells in the drive. Heat released from the connected batteries is used to heat the disconnected cells. Alternatively, an external heat source is used. <??>Claims include a control using the method.
